Getting grant funding is hard! Bio-medical / Chemistry / Biochemistry equipment is really expensive and it eventually breaks down (usually before the graduate students, too). GMI has always had great prices on the equipment I need to run my lab and more importantly they have always stood behind their equipment. Any and all issues have always been resolved timely and fairly. Even when something does break (like an HPLC) just past it's warranty; they also provide great repair services and again at fair cost (typically more cost effective than the dealer / manufacter). GMI has even offered extended warranties so you can be sure you'll equipment will last the length of your grant. There are other places where you can get equipment (or gamble on eBay) but GMI has always delivered for me and therefore I highly recommend you contact them for your equipment needs.
