Coming to the Maldives was a trip I ve always wanted to take. Luckily my partner is a Starwood Platinum and being at the W Maldives showed us the value of program loyalty once again. Before departing, I tried to plan as much ahead as possible. Everyone was super helpful and responsive. Once we were there, service was lovely, quick, and fun. I'm not sure why this hotel is on more of the "Best Of" lists, as it really had so much to offer. Everything from the web site and IG are very true to life. Charming vibe, great house reef for diving, fantastic dive instructors, and a beautiful spa. Compared to other hotels, it felt like a pretty good deal financially and was a great value. It's a cosy island that is a truly special holiday.

Things that were helpful to know -
Sea plane does dock at the island on arrival. Try to get a lagoon facing room so you're not disturbed by it
Being surrounded by the house reef, walking in the water feels like being in an aquarium. So AWESOME
The beverage package is a pretty good deal.
It is a W hotel, with the dj vibe and the design. We liked the casual youthfulness of it
Dolphin cruise is a lot of fun. Definitely worth booking
Loved everyone at the dive shop. So helpful and great teachers
Sunset bar is fantastic and best place for sunrise is over by the spa
