We needed a bargain vacation and were able to get a great deal on airfare/hotel at the Ritz. But... once we got there it became clear that we were at the typical Ritz -- the food was very expensive. (Chips and salsa was $17.) Normally this wouldn't be such a problem except, the property isn't walking distance to anything.

Also, because we got two rooms for the price of one, they mistakenly reserved one room, I had to contact the travel agent before they conceded that we had two rooms. But the first night, four of us had to cram in one of the two rooms.

As for the hotel itself, I thought it was very nice. And the grounds too. The beach was underwhelming. Jamaica, in general, was great.
