I received information from my uncle that my grandmother was in the ICU on 1960. That is all the information I had. So, I googled "hospital on 1960" and began calling hospitals to find out where she is. The first couple ladies I spoke to from this hospital were not rude, they just transferred me to someone who could help. The final woman I spoke to, I was not given a name, was completely out of line. After her not being able to hear me for a while, I finally was able to tell her that I am trying to figure out if my grandmother was at this hospital and she responds by asking me if I have a password. Then, I told her that I do not have a password, that I am not even sure which hospital my grandmother is in. Before I finish my sentence, she responds with, "well you knew which hospital she was in before you dialed this number." Something along the lines of that. LOOK, I get your job is stressful. BUT I JUST TOLD YOU MY GRANDMOTHER IS IN THE ICU AND THAT I DO NOT KNOW WHERE SHE IS LOCATED, CLEARLY I AM CALLING TO FIND OUT IF SHE IS HERE. As a nurse or whatever her job description may be, she should not be speaking to me, or anyone, in that manner.
