I'm a former member and I would not recommend this...

I'm a former member and I would not recommend this union to anyone if you like being treated like a person. I worked there for 3 to 4 years. yea the pay is better than non union but what they don't tell you when you sign up is that your voice doesn't matter. the supposed board does not care about its members. they all just sit in their offices all day fattening their pockets while the real workers put up with trash companies like fisk electric or melton. those companies I mentioned casually ignore the by laws and enforce the ones beneficial to them. The piece of trash superintendent at fisk that goes by the name of "bubba" is the worst kind of scum to work for. He's the type of guy that gets off on firing guys left and right and of course, the guys at the local don't care. Nothing was done to correct the situatuation. In the end, I gave up. Don't waste your time trying to sign up for this "union"because those guys are not union.
