I ve had bad experiences with temp agencies in the past and have avoided them. Being in need of work I thought I d give it another try. What a waste of time and gas. You are lured to come in urgently and misled to think you ll get a job placement right away. Then when you come in they pull a classic bait and switch that temp agencies are know for. Suddenly there s nothing open or ones that are open are very far away and with laughable pay. You are forced to fill out endless forms and submit sensitive data like social security numbers, tax forms etc without even having a placement! Communication is non existent and they haven t found me anything despite Me having many years of experience and excellent references. I would not waste your time as they clearly don t have work available. I m wondering if their constant online job postings are fake ones to lure in candidates or collect their personal data. I m having much better luck on my own finding interviews and the like.
