I already knew that Franklin Square was a lousy hospital so when an EMT asked, I said I did NOT want my child taken there , but I got talked into it. It's clear they only wanted to go there because they just didn't feel like driving farther to get us to a good ER.
God help you if you have even ONE question about the "treatment" or if more than a WebMd search is needed to diagnose your problem. Staff uses a bunch of med school jargon and gobbledygook to discourage questions when they don't know what's wrong but "We don't know, so go home" is the general attitude. They don't explain anything they are doing and get indignant when you ask for details. I guess I asked for clarification too many times for one nurse who cut me off with "so do you want it or not?" I wouldn't send a dog to that emergency room. If you happen to be near that hospital when in need of an ambulance, DEMAND they take you to GBMC or St Joseph. Don't let the EMT's talk you out of it.
