My father waiting close to a year to have his gall...

My father waiting close to a year to have his gall bladder removed and the hospital spending more of our national insurance in keeping him in hospital due to illness surrounding the said gall bladder. One doctor tells him it's not right and tells him he will have the operation one week and then he's let down by another doc and told he won't have it. Discharged again still without any date for his operation and from an outsider's POV, this is all down to hospital politics. If this was a paediatric situation, this would not be happening but when you get to say... 60? 50? It's more of an inconvenience for them.
2.5 years ago wife gave birth in the hospital for the second time, discharged way beyond 10pm and she hadn't been cleaned after giving birth which was evident when she finally got of her bed.
Most of the staff I speak to are friendly but the inner workings of this state-of-the-art hospital are absolutely shocking. I don't like going to hospital like most people but this hospital is something else.
