WARNING about their resale practices

I have been to Freedom for help in maintenance on my current bike. Their mechanics are super knowledgeable and do an amazing job taking their time to help you. I really appreciate their staff and all the help they've given over the last year.

HOWEVER:
I was in the market for a new bike, and went to a seller's home to look at a used 2016 Yamaha FZ-09. It was listed for $3,800 and the seller agreed initially to let it go for $3,500 which is really low. I got the VIN and the contact for the mechanic the seller had used to maintain the bike (Cafe Racer on Union Ave), and when I called the mechanic to verify the history of the bike, he disclosed that the bike had been in a serious crash. I told the owner and let him know I wasn't interested anymore.

Fast forward a few months as I continue to watch the used market, and I suddenly see the exact bike (I verified the VIN was an exact match) listed at Freedom for over $7,000. This isn't necessarily wrong at face value, so I messaged them asking about the bike and whether it had ever been in a crash. I received an immediate response, but the representative didn't know the history of the bike. He said he would get back to me but... that was the last I heard from them. This personally scared me away from ever buying a used bike from Freedom. You can draw your own conclusions, but when a dealership avoids the disclosure of significant issues like that, and lists a used bike that high that has been in a serious accident, you have to be weary.
