Well being in the automotive field and having to deal with treating customers like I feel i would want to be treated I expected to get great service. We went there as my late grandmother lived on 6th ave south around corner. I picked up my brother and wanted to have a nice day driving the beaches and thought it would good to try a good place to eat on the beach and we called a few and since we took our pets with us, called around to find a pet-friendly restaurant, We called the Hurricane Restaurant and they said that's awesome you picked us, the Hurricane Restaurant has a pet-friendly dining on the 2nd floor with a good view of the beach. Well being tired from driving in the rain all day we were ready to sit down and eat. The waitress greeted us and said here are one of 3 tables you can sit with your Dogs, I said really we were told the whole 2nd floor was pet-friendly, she said sorry you have one of these 3 tables. There was no beach view unless you call looking over trees to see the gulf the beach, It was a small area barely big enough for the 3 tables, really that's the way you treat customers, The food was so so and very small portions and a lot of the fish was listed at Market price and it was like pulling teeth to get a price.
I will never go to the Hurricane Restaurant again,. We had eaten at Rum Fish last year and loved the food and service.and wish they were pet- friendly for sure..Joel Curto
