Visited China Peak Resort for The California Enduro Series Mountain Bike Race. Perfect for anyone who wants to go mountain biking at a resort and have the benefits of lift access, but want to avoid the lines and crowds at Tahoe. I had a great time and the trail builders put a lot of time and effort into creating fun, technical trails.

The trails were single track style with some really technical sections. However, after 200 people going down the hill, the trails become very loose and rough, drastically changing the new trails. I would definitely recommend that the resort create the trails ahead of time so they can get worn in and will not deteriorate so quickly. Also, there were only a few trails that had been built, so would like to see more trails the next time I go up there.

Was able to camp next to the river, and the site was awesome. Got sun in the morning to warm up, but plenty of trees provided shade during the day. Plenty of trails for hiking along the river and hidden swimming holes to cool off.

The resort was nice, but the food was overpriced and the quality was mediocre, but I was so hungry after the race, I didn't hesitate to have two helpings. I definitely want to return to explore the area more because it was a lot of fun.
