Cal Poly is what you make of it. I think that it is a hidden diamond in SoCal; considering the amount of prestigious schools in the area. The best thing is that obtaining a degree here is relatively cheap. The networks available at Cal Poly aren't too shabby either if you get involved with the right organizations. The school is currently expanding as well (newer buildings and etc.). The faculty and staff are very helpful/knowledgeable as well... I was fortunate to have faculty personally help me out with the job search. The problem associated with this campus, however, is difficulty in registering for classes. I believe the combination of a tight state budget and small class sizes is to blame. Another problem is PARKING. Cal Poly is acres of land... utilize it, plain and simple.

I'm recommending this school to anyone because I believe that it is becoming a top-tier institution.
