If I could give 1 star I would. This relates to the service department. It seems past 1 star reviews are all service related, the 5 star reviews are when buying a car. So buyers... beware you'll need service at some point!
I brought my Jeep Wrangler in for an A/C complaint. The original estimate/guess of the problem was an evap coil valve that wasn't opening so that needed to be replaced. Ok, no problem. Not an expensive part but hard to get to and lots of labor costs. When they were replacing that they discovered metal shavings in a line so they determined that was from the compressor. Hmmm..I gave the ok to replace the compressor too. They said it was all set and working. I picked it up, parked it overnight and the next morning still no A/C. So I wasted more of my time to drop back off. This time, the guess was that my compressor wasn't getting power so they had to replace the Total Integrative Power Module (TIPM) at a cost of over $850! This was after I'd already spent close to $1100 on the first problems. Yeah, so I am pissed. I manage to talk my service consultant down to $658 as he said that's the best price he could do for me. Well, what can I do...I give the okay for the new TIPM. They replace that and still no a/c in my Jeep!
They then discover that the "new" compressor they put in is actually faulty. They can't order a new one because of some bs national backorder. I was without my Jeep for over 3 weeks. I want to talk to the service manager so my service consultant Mark C says he'll pass the message on to give me a call. I ask Mark to have the service manager call me 5 separate times over a period of 9 days. NO calls. I finally find the name of the service manager Jim Groves on another horrible Google review of this dealership and leave a voicemail to have him call me back. Jim Groves does call me back an admits to me there was no way of knowing if I actually needed a new TIPM based on the newly discovered bad compressor but if I want to put my old one back in at 2 hours of labor of $113 an hour to check it they could do so. If it WAS bad, he would have to charge me another 2 hours of labor at $113 an hour plus the price of the TIPM at $658 Or, he could just sell my the new TIPM at $550. I missed my Jeep and didn't want to risk it actually being a bad TIPM so I ate the cost of the new TIPM at $550. BTW, Jim Groves said he never got any messages from Mark C to call me...
I went in to pick up my Jeep, ran into Mark C who seemed to think this was all one big funny joke. I questioned his passing the messages onto Jim Groves and he said he did it. So who is lying here?? One plus that I will say is that if you DEMAND a loaner car for the lost time of your vehicle, they will give you one.
I WILL NEVER COME BACK FOR ANY SERVICE, PURCHASES OF ANY KIND. THEY RUN SCAMS AND CANNOT BE TRUSTED.
