I paid $240 up front for a reservation in October ...

I paid $240 up front for a reservation in October that I unfortunately had to cancel on 8/17. While booking, I was supposed to be paying a deposit but was charged in full which wasn t a big deal. Since cancelling this reservation, I still have not received a refund. I reached out to the hotel last week with no response. I finally got in touch with the hotel and they mentioned they processed a refund on 9/2, but now it is 9/15 and no refund. I call to check on the status and they mentioned it will be 90 days before I see a refund and I have disputed charges with my bank. Why in the world can you take money in advance, but not offer a credit back to a cancellation in a month's time? I wouldn t make a reservation here again after my experience.
