Went here for the first time to see the new facility and the pets. The Good: new building, ample parking. Affordable gift shop. The Bad: wasted space , not enough color, inadequate space for animals, poor planning/ use of space. Too many empty dog cages why not bring some more dogs from the pound on Oak street? Why hide all the special needs cats in the back? No signs indicating you can t go in there, but volunteers harassing us and discouraging us from looking. The Ugly: rude volunteers and staff, no signs explaining that you need a pass to see the pets. Long wait to get the pass. Is the mission of this place changed? It should be about getting homes for unwanted pets. Seems more like a social hang out for volunteers who stand on the hill of self righteousness and look down on others. Not a welcoming community space. Not good use of land or resources. Beuracracy.
