Things I liked about Cal Poly Pomona were the people, the professors, and the beautiful campus. It's a good school for a lot of reasons, but also had some shortcomings. Plan on getting to class at least 1 hour early or you will never find a parking spot. There is no affordable housing nearby, the neighborhoods are dangerous, students sometimes get assaulted and robbed on campus. There are few bike lanes and people drive crazy. Parking passes are really expensive. There's nowhere to buy good food near campus. It can be quite difficult to get the classes you need to graduate on time. This school put me through some very difficult times, but now I have a respected degree and a job so it was worth it.
