My son was 19 and bought his first home through John Walton. the realtor told him he did not need an inspection. He told him it was new construction, had never been lived in and had a builders warranty. It had actually been lived in for over a year and had no warranty.. There were all kinds of issues with the house and my son had to pay for all of the repairs because he waived the inspection because he was told he was purchasing a brand new home. . He just believed what the realtor told him. A realtor should never encourage a first time home buyer not to get an inspection. Terrible service. The realtor should have known that there was no warranty on the home. They should have helped my son because they gave incorrect information. They refused to help him in any way.
