My wife and daughter and I were in for supper on Saturday, Jan. 27. We were greeted and seated promptly. Everybody was very friendly. Our waitress was not having a good day. She seemed rather new at the job and seemed a little distracted. We ordered a couple of appetizers, and though the med bread was delicious, the two soups were cold. Our waitress came back and we told her about the soup and she took it back to the kitchen. The manager promptly brought the soups back, now piping hot, and told us there would be no charge for the soups. The entrees were delicious, and we ordered the "mini" desserts. The manager again brought our desserts, and though my wife and daughter's mini brownie was right, the slab of sticky toffee pudding they brought for me was anything but "mini". This dessert was huge! When I indicated that I hadn't ordered the full-size dessert, he apologized and said that our desserts would be free as well as the coffees that we had ordered. He again apologized for our waitress and mentioned that she was under the weather. Our waitress came back to the table to give us our bill and she again apologized profusely for the errors with our orders.
Usually, I would be annoyed with all of the problems with our service, but the manager on duty went above and beyond to not only fix the errors, but was extremely pleasant to deal with. Absolutely extraordinary customer service.
We will definitely be back to dine here again, and we are certainly looking forward to it.
