At the beginning of June 2017 I was accompanied by Fletcher Erenstein. I had booked a large and a small double room. The official occupation of the rooms seems to be 3pm. We were there. Arrived 30 minutes earlier and had the opportunity to test the service. After we had been left unnoticed for almost 10 minutes, the receptionist took care of us. However, our conversation was interrupted by two phone calls, which you did not forward, but made yourself in full. In short, the first impression wasn't the best.
Our rooms were on the ground floor. The rooms were a good size. What was immediately noticeable that they had a very musty room atmosphere. This seemed to be due to the fact that there were no windows that could be opened and therefore could not be sufficiently ventilated. The rooms must have been used for other purposes some time ago, so there was only one glass door that opened to the inner courtyard. So it is simply impossible to sleep with the windows open.
The bathroom was basically okay. On closer inspection you get the impression that everything has been around for a few years.
The breakfast buffet was sufficient for the surcharge, everything you could want is available as standard. In any case, I did not understand why coffee is not served in thermos flasks at each table. You had to leave the table for every cup of coffee. It can definitely be done better.
PS: The pictures on the relevant booking portals show the hotel's offshoot, where the hotel's restaurant is located. The actual hotel is about a 2-minute walk away. We didn't use the restaurant because you could only choose from 2 fixed menus, at least where we were guests. Prices start at 30 euros per person.
