I have worked at Dippen Dots for a few years on and off because I have another job. I really liked working here. Well recently I just found out that I am expecting a baby. I am a adult not a young person. When I told the manager I was expecting he immediately gave me my paycheck which was Thursday March 12, 2020. Told me the cash it Friday March 13, 2020. He then said tonight would be my last night and gave away my shift to another co worker for Saturday March 14, 2020. I messaged the franchise owner on March 13, 2020 to express to her that I planned to keep my job, and that I have no morning sickness nor am I showing. She told me I was an excellent employee and wished me luck on my new addition. So I was fired because I am pregnant. Isn t this against the law? This took place at the South Plains Mall Lubbock Texas
