Ken Yambo Review of HERE

The service center has had my RAV4 EV for over a month. During this month, the part they ordered was incorrect, which lead to delays.
During the time there, I have called to ask for updates.
For all my attempts at communication, here's how it's gone, so far -
1. Phone call goes straight to voice mail, which I leave my name, #, car, and a request for an update so I can update my rental car or turn it in.
2. No reply.
3. Phone call, not even get to voicemail this time. I ended up on hold for 10 minutes x 3 calls in one day. So that's 30 minutes of hold time, to not even get the pleasure of leaving a voicemail.
4. Get thru to the service team members that have the details on my car, to get put on hold for 15 minutes, then hung up on.
5. Imagine doing all of the above, for anywhere from 5-30 minutes of your day, for about 20 days in this last month.
6. I even went in-person. I came at the wrong time, as the service team member that knows my case was out to lunch. So another team member asked me to write my name on a piece of tissue paper, to pass to them. (Of note, despite asking, no one could update me or tell me anything about my car other than the specific individuals that handle the case).
The outcome to this point:
1. This could result in several hundreds of dollars out of my pocket for rental car expense. My insurance company is refusing to pay any further car rental costs because a month is outside of the reasonable time it should take to have repaired the Rav4.
2. To prevent this, it is possible that Toyota fill out a supplemental to my insurance explain why the repairs have taken so long. Reasonably speaking, Rav4 EVs are rare cars. And it has Tesla parts, which may result in things like continuous improvement etc that people have to read up on, updated parts #s, etc. before fitting the parts to the car. Plus subsequent tests on the battery for follow-on working.
3. Continued ambiguity as to whether the Rav is having its radiator and battery worked on, or if it is now in the transmission warranty claim process. Among several other things, this changes who is responsible for my rental, and how much additional costs I might end up (but shouldn't have to) pay out of my pocket.
I don't like putting reviews like this out there, as I do believe people try hard and things are busy. But I have tried to communicate with phone calls, voice mails, enjoyed a lot of time listening to the hold music, and showed up in-person just to get stiff armed and ignored. This is another means to communicate.
Thanks for reading, I hope this is useful for anyone looking to have repair work on their Rav4 EV done. I'll post an update when there's more news.
