Went in for tire rotation after I tried to rotate myself. I broke one breaker bar extension (lifetime replacement tool). Next I moved to the impact driver at 100 psi, and still couldn't remove wheel nuts. Damaged wheel nuts in the process. Took the vehicle to the dealership. Lady behind the counter was nice, however they couldn't explain why the wheel nuts were so tight and indicated they were swelling, which was why I was having problems. I asked why the wheel nuts swell so much to cause removal problems. The representative couldn't explain why, and no effort to contact Ford for an explanation was made. The vehicle only has 40,000 miles on it. I was charged 11.00 per wheel nut, for what appears to be a factory issue, and labor for a mistake in installation done by the dealer. Total bill was nearly $100.00. As the direct link to the manufacturer I would expect the dealer's service to be top notch. I feel better performing routine maintenance work myself.
