As a tourist the hotel is situated in downtown Cairo which is very crummy. The surroundings is where most of the sightseeing is so full marks for location. But the environment is a very polluted and the traffic makes coming and going a nuisance.

The hotel itself is very old and definitely needs a facelift. The lobby, restaurants and rooms are dated and not as per the Hilton standards elsewhere.

Having said that the hotel rooms were extremely clean comfortable and functional with no faults. The food was very good too at the restaurants and the breakfast was to die for. If there is anything I would come back to Egypt for it s the breakfast at the Ramses Hilton.
Also the view from the bar on the top floor is gorgeous.
