I should have known when thieir add said the truck was an SLT.... with a BIG HORN badge on the back of it???
NOT TO WASTE MY TIME. Fortunately we do our homework on rates and payment and what we owe and what to expect when we do this. We walked in and asked for the salesman we were talking to and they asked us for our email and phone number prior to getting him. The Truck had been on their lot for about a month and a half. They opened the door to show us the truck and it smelled like damp cigarettes. Not even cleaned or detailed. So after the "paperwork" phase and some haggling all of a sudden they gave us more for our truck.....wiped out taxes and fees and their "2000 dollar upgrade" for a certification with a monthly payment higher than our first price. Like 100 bucks higher. We asked what the interest rate was and they said rates have gone up over the last 6 month's. They would not tell us what the interest rate was. We walked out. Prior to us walking out they said " we are the number one Dodge dealer in New Jersey and we never get walked out on" ..... We must have been the first ones to walk out on them..... Highly unlikely. Turns out the interest rate was 15 percent. Our credit is also about 750 and we are in our 40s. It was a nice 3 hour ride to get there though. And I fully expect to see a respose under here that says I am sos and so from Route 46 dodge......please call blah blah blah......like I want ANYTHING to do with this dealership after that experience.....
