A trip to the Gerolstein visitor center is highly recommended. An information film about bottling mineral water is shown. Then you can try different Gerolsteiner products for free. Finally, you can view the production process via an elevated path. Unfortunately, for hygienic reasons, you are not allowed to walk through the hall. From the visitor path, however, you have a very good view of the bottling, labeling, sorting, etc. The excursion is very worthwhile for children, as they can see for themselves how the production processes are. From Monday to Friday there is a guided tour at 3 p.m. to which you can appear unannounced. Guided tours for larger groups of people can be booked by telephone. There is no museum. You are let in through the gate at 2:45 p.m. to reach the tour at 3:00 p.m. It takes an hour. Then you have to leave the visitor center. The visitor center is unfortunately closed on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, as there is no work on these days.
