I was left sitting in the lobby cold and wet for almost an hour!
Why? I made the terrible mistake of leaving my room key behind when I went for a walk in the rain with my little dog. My husband, a lawyer, was working in the Court of Appeal and could not be contacted for confirmation that I should be allowed back into the room. Subsequent discussions led to waiting for security to possibly give me an ok (if I could describe the room and belongings or if they could see me on the cameras at check-in with my husband. I went for a very long walk as I knew my husband might be all day. Then I sat and waited, exhausted and wet with a shivering dog waiting for someone to come to my rescue and let me back into my room. Thankfully, after an hour, my husband finished his business earlier than expected. He went down to talk to the manager who was rude and kept interrupting him. She told him I would not have been allowed into the room by security. I might have been locked out all day!!!! It was an humiliating experience, frustrating and I felt ill when I finally got to my room. Change policies security!
