This past summer was my first summer with Camp Echo Lake, and there is no single word to describe this incredible experience. The campus is breathtaking, the staff is well trained and the direction is top notch.

As a staff member myself, I can say with confidence that the administration of this camp recognizes the value of knowing each and every camper and staff on a personal level. The amount of time spent on training their staff to find connection with the numerous individuals at camp is relentless, and evident when you see what an amazing time the campers are having. The camp is clean, organized, and the safety and best interest of the campers is always put as first priority. These are especially important qualities in my opinion, because I was also sending my 10 year old son as a CEL camper for the very first time.

My son had an incredible summer. He was able to bond with 14 bunk mates, all of whom had attended camp in years past together. He was able to participate in activities he would have never dreamed of, and would have never had the opportunity to do in an 115 degree Arizona summer. He had the ability to completely unplug from ANY electronic device, and totally charge his brain by being creative, physically active, challenged, engaged and motivated by all that Camp Echo Lake had to offer. The growth and development that my child experienced in two months was irreplaceable.

Once we returned from camp, numerous friends asked me about my summer. I got to the point that I couldn't tell them because there was no way to come close to describing what a fulfilling experience it was for both myself and my son. From either the perspective of a staff member or a camper, Camp Echo Lake makes you feel like part of a HUGE family, and that feeling is phenomenal. A CEL Family that we both will look forward to being a part of for many, many summers to come.
