Best farmers market in the Nothern Sound region, s...

Best farmers market in the Nothern Sound region, still no compare to the east coast or city markets. The potential is there if there was about twice as much space. I look forward to a peak of season foray.
Early season it's all about winter root vegetables, greenhouse (or cold frame) leafs. Make sure you check out all the vendors before buying any one thing. One may have beautiful radishes for $3 a bunch, another for $2 and only so-so. Samish Island Cheese and Bread Farm are required stops. A good variety of entertainment and vendors, and a lot of prepared food. I'd rate it higher except for the following, a lot of people unaware of others in a crowded place, you will get jostled and bumped around without so much as an "excuse me". Too many strollers inside the market sometimes three deep and wide, and political activists blocking sidewalks and pathways. ONE vendor with eggs, no set up for live poultry or fresh seafood, and too many places that add the word "farm" to their name to sell a semi-commercial product. Parking is so-so.
