I own a 2015 Honda Odyssey which I brought brand new from Autonation Honda 385 during their first days of grand opening.
During Mar 2020, my van started showing Engine alert during my trip to my sisters family who lives in Frisco TX. I promptly took it to nearest Honda authorized dealer - David McDavid Honda. They diagnosed misfire in one of the cylinders and took about 3 days to fix the problem. Everything was covered under Honda Warranty.
I came back to Memphis once it is fixed, as you all know unfortunately COVID hit USA and we are all working from home. I drove the van only few miles after coming back due to the pandemic, the same problem started happening in June2020, I again promptly took to the Autonation Honda 385 dealer.
To be clear the same exact problem reappeared in few days from initial repair, Honda and its affiliates bluntly disowning the issue and want you to bear all the expenses for this reoccurring problem. Honda is not willing to share any details on how they came to decision to disown this issue - their representatives even shout you down even though they truth is on my side. More over they took 2 months to come to this conclusion, kept my van with them during this period.
Be aware of buying Honda, their warranty programs because Honda is blunt in saying that if you had your vehicle repair issue performed during last days of warranty and the same problem shows up again in few days when your vehicle warranty is no longer valid, Honda customer service will not hesitate a moment to push you into the ocean stating that you have to pay for your repair. No fun, hence be aware of their game plan better to get out of our love towards Honda vehicles.
McDavid Honda did not try to call me back even once to explain their position - That should tell you how much they care their customers, They only have love for your money.
