VERY worth the drive & price for admission for the guided tour! And know that your addmission fees & donations support the ongoing dig. Facinating! Easy walk if you have mobility difficulties as well.
And totally air-conditioned if you're wanting a couple of hours out of the heat. They even have a kid's digger den in the gift shop area. The Summer jr-digger program would be great for detail-oriented kiddos!
