Went up to the dealership Acura of North Toronto today to buy a new MDX (my 5th Honda product!) and to no surprise I got what I was looking for. Upgraded trim level on a 2019 MDX A Spec very cool with the 20 inch wheels and red bordered seats. Took all of about 40 minutes.
I will tell you the best part of this dealership is dealing with The Sales Manager Mr. Peter Kim. My last MDX I bought, negotiated, minimal haggling for final price all by texting with him, I did not actually visit the dealership at that time until I went and signed the agreed upon deal, and met Peter for the first time. Love it, I am a busy professional and really don't want to repeatedly visit a dealership to haggle over small items. Was a breeze then and did the same this time.... heard about their Spring Event (Which ENDS tomorrow March 17), and I saw first hand how they are literally blowing them out the door! He honoured without question the trade in he had texted to me previously, sight unseen, even went out with the used car manager to see if they could give me more.
Mr. Kim took the time, we chewed over family and weather, we picked out my car, he stood by his texted quote for trade-in on my old, added in generous incentives, signed the deal, they are arranging to transfer my plates, and then over to the business manager who explained and sold me some dealer add ons...dent, windshield, and tire protection.
I can't finish this review without a word on the service department, all three men in there are attentive, text you when you're done, and on your way. Needed tires last month, after much haggling around they gave me by far the best deal.
Finally, the dealership is part of the Dilawrie group. They have a program for Dilawrie points which I never paid much attention, however Mr. Kim and the business manager are reporting back to me Monday a further possible credit on today's purchase.in respect of accumulated points.
So give Acura of North Toronto, Thornhill, Yonge St. west side just north of Steeles a shot, no mistake. Ask for Peter Kim.
