Took my mother to the ER because she felt she had something stuck in her throat, she was having a harder time taking breaths, and nauseated. Wait time after check in and seeing the doctor were very reasonable for ER service. My poor experience started when the ER doctor gave my mother the wrong information for the Endo scope she needed to have performed. We even questioned Dr.Walton the ER doctor that evaluated my mom if this was the correct place. His response was yes I will have the doctors name, phone number, and address for you on your discharges. Told her to be there at 7am. Guess what. It was the wrong place. So my mom showed up for her scope to try and hopefully get relief or answers why she feels the way she does and she is at the wrong place. She called Hardin memorial to then be told oh yeah he NEVER does scopes at his office. They offered her to come to the hospital and wait to be squeezed in for the scope. Who wants to one potentially wait all day at a hospital after they were the ones who messed up and two be squeezed in for a procedure! That really sounds like your going to get good care. I now question the radiographs that were taken on my mom that we were told were normal . If Dr. Walton read those radiographs instead of a radiologist I doubt his competence on the read out since he can not even give the correct information for where a procedure is ALWAYS performed at! Drive to Louisville don t waste your time at HMH who knows what you ll be told but it probably won t be correct.
