Went into the ER for food poisoning Sunday night at 8pm. First off, there is no communication at this place whatsoever, and that goes hand in hand with a lack of urgency. I was practically defecating in my pants while my girlfriend cried next to me in helplessness. Meanwhile, I was shivering and barely able to talk and the male nurse asking me questions was practically yelling at me to give him answers about things that I could barely speak through the vomit in my teeth. They had no blankets to give out (according to another nurse it was because they had to stop giving out blankets to patients and I presume they were taken by accident and the budget just couldn't allow a few more linens for their sick). Then after four hours of being ridiculed by both nurses and security guards who watched me cry out for help and then fall out of my chair, I finally was able to get some saline in my body after they told me I couldn't even rinse out my mouth with water to keep the dryness away, I sat there for an hour shivering next to other people who waited just as long as I did wondering where the hell the nurses were with our test results. Finally the nurse came in to tell me that the reason I was feeling like death was because of laced marijuana even though I get my prescription from a dispensary and have never had a episode like that ever, and also did not smoke that day, I said fine and we left. If you value life or the life of others who you know upgrade to kaiser or find another hospital who knows what compassion looks like.
