My company has been using Lightspeed Point of Sale...

My company has been using Lightspeed Point of Sale for over two years. They are consistently cordial and professional, but unable to resolve our concerns regarding shortcomings with their POS system, particularly the issues of "split sales" and "gift certificates".

We first brought these two matters to their attention in early 2014. I cannot tell you if we are any closer to resolution, because, as their support person informed me today "I simply do not know and neither does my supervisor".

The Internal Revenue Service, the Indiana Department of Revenue and our C.P.A.'s have been very clear in their opinion of the treatment of gift certificates by Light Speed: "It is not correct".

We are researching the cost to switch to a new POS system.
