If you're into planes, particularly World War II era planes, cancel your Disneyland ticket and reserve a day here. You can just stroll around on your own or take a tour. You may see a crew of volunteers restoring one of the only existing flying wing planes. You may even hit on a day when they take it for a flight. There's a roof full of carrier based aircraft in a hanger made to resemble the lower flight deck of the USS Enterprise WWII carrier. The B-17 bomber you see out front is usually staffed by docents, often some actual crewmen of this plane (now in their later years so don't wait too long). They have Vietnam era prop and jet planes, observation planes, planes from every side of every conflict. If you are hard core, find out when their next air show is. Bring your camera, a chair and sunglasses and hat. You won't regret it.
