My husband, daughter and I went to the Sanctuary for the first time the other day, and I was thoroughly impressed and moved by the experience. Unlike a visit to the zoo, which typically is catered to its visitors, the Sanctuary caters to the animals, and that was fine with me. I was honored to be a guest in their home. The admission is costly, but so is providing a safe haven for these animals. I was happy I could contribute in some way. I was inspired to hear the story of how the Sanctuary was created from one man's vision. Talk about a "Field of Dreams" scenario. Cost aside, I feel bad for the people who gave low marks to the Sanctuary, because they missed out on a great experience.
