I was In LV for work and decided to go to Dream Racing on a day off.

Overall a very good experience. I like how friendly the staff were and the huge selection of vehicles on offer with quite a few that aren't on offer elsewhere. Hence the reason I went for the Corvette Z06 as there are non in England at this moment in time.

I do have a few bugs. Firstly finding the lounge/sign on desk was difficult. I had to ask somebody, who just so happened to be a member of staff, where it was. Perhaps some more signage to direct people to the media centre would be helpful. Especially as I first drove into the track area as its the first big 'Dream racing' sign that is seen. The only reason I carried on was that the direction info in the conformation email was different to where I actually was.

A minor point is that the pictures and description on the website are a little misleading e.g. "Our Lounge with panoramic terrace overlooking the track..." During my visit I didn't see any obvious terrace or lounge, especially not anything looking like the websites pictures.

I'm annoyed that I didn't get a simulator session as that is the reason I chose dream racing over the EXR or SpeedVegas. I was hoping for a simulator session for a bit of coaching so that the actual drive was not so much of an overload allowing more focus on the track. I did see in the small print a bit about some simulators not being available and other options in place. However I don't think 1 lap in a mini van (as impressive as it was) really counts as coaching. This is the biggest reason I've knocked 2 stars.

The lap counting is a bit cheesy as you pay for "5" laps but on really get 3 full laps. Although this counting system is made clear even before purchase.

However, the facilities are very clean and look professional. The training room with the view of the speedway finish line is quite special. Also the option to drive racing spec cars is quite something, albeit out of my price range. The instructors are very patient. I think I had TJ. He threw just enough at me to make the most of the session but not so much that the session would be ruined by too many commands. I do feel like I was allowed to push the car as fast as I could (no where near the cars limits probably). Unlike some places that seem to limit your drive. I also like that all the cars not on track are open and I could get in and have a look.

I thank Dream Racing for a new experience. If I ever get the chance to come again I would seriously consider dream racing again. My only regret is that is was over all to quickly for the price.
