Interesting how all the reviews here are either 5's or 1's. (I'm curious: How many posts are from the same people using different Google+ accounts?) For those former students who have posted here, did you expect a cruise ship or resort stay? I hope not. As staff, we had some rules to enforce that some kids didn't like. Frankly, for me, it was a pain to enforce some of those rules. Yet, as a teacher, I understood that the rules existed to create a safe environment conducive to learning and teaching.

However, despite the lists of policies, as I taught there from 2008 - 2010 I saw plenty-- P-L-E-N-T-Y-- of kindness and outreach. Every former student who has posted negative comments must surely remember an act (or two or three or ten) of kindness from a staff member. I worked my tail off to let those kids know that 1) I cared about them, and 2) I cared about my work-- in that order. And I know every other staff member did and does the same.
