LACMA is worth a stop just to stroll the grounds and catch some cool views and shots of the architecture and free sculptures. Definitely park in the lot under the museum as the rates are good and street parking is hard to find. I would highly recommend buying tickets to see the art collections, which are spread over multiple buildings on the campus. Also, make sure to walk next door to the La Brea tar pits- such a cool historical part of LA.
