I attempted to place an online order with National. However on clicking the submit button, I was given a window telling me that there were insufficient items in stock. Therefore I attempted to place an alternative order; only to receive the same insufficient warning. Having encountered past problems with National, I telephoned them to confirm that neither order was processed. The customer service response was to tell me that both orders were indeed processed and that I could cancel neither order as they do not accept cancellations of online orders. This attitude was positively amazing in light of the fact that their system had notified me that they could not fulfill the orders, and in light of the fact that no more than 30 minutes had passed since the orders were attempted. I asked to speak to a supervisor, yet never received a return call. This escapade of National's left a $200 charge on my credit card while I awaited the shipments and then National's acceptance of their return. Untrustworthy, as this was an obvious sham!
