Nice lobby, helpful staff. Reasonably well situated.
Its quiet considering its situated right next to the A4 (one of the main roads into/out of London).
Iron and ironing board worked well one of the best irons I ve used in a hotel (and I ve used a *lot*)
Door key didn t work on first attempt, the staff told me to hold it and slide it in a certain way which I did with the new cards and one worked, the other didn t. The next day neither card worked so I had to get them replaced again.
North Tower 5th floor smells old (could be cigarettes) which increased considerably in my room. Walking across to the other tower the smell was absent.
When I first got into the room the toilet had paper which hadn t been flushed, disappointing but could have been worse.
Bathroom is very small (roughly 4 6 x 6 or 1.4m x 1.8m) but functional; taps, toilet and shower all worked.
Room decor is aging and in desperate need of refurbishment (See photos); stained carpet and stool (see photos). The springs in the mattress on the bed had virtually no spring left.
Broadband was functional (~1.5Mbps down, 4.5Mbps up), certainly sufficient for Netflix, Skype/Teams calls, email and VPN worked without issue.
Too few plug sockets two by a desk which had a desk light and kettle plugged in and one free near the wardrobe for ironing. They were all functional but you have to unplug them to charge laptop / phone etc. No USB charging points and no socket near the bed to charge the phone over night and within reach.
