We have been visiting friends at the Ritz-Carlton ...

We have been visiting friends at the Ritz-Carlton at Singer Island in the hopes of buying our own residence. However, for over three weeks now there has been nothing but the sound of drilling and tiles being cut in an upper apartment. The noise goes on from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm five days a week. It's insufferable and outrageous that at the height of the winter snowbird season that the management would allow this kind of work to go on. People who have the money to spend between $700,000 to 10 million to buy a condo would be crazy to buy here. It's torture, plain and simple.

To add insult to injury, the Ritz-Carlton, the high priced Residences on Singer Island, each day in the middle of the day, ventilates their garage by switching on a diesel engine that is as loud as a jet plane taking off from an airport and can be heard at a deafening volume at the north and south ends of the building. The ventilation process which spews diesel fumes into the air lasts for a half hour in the middle of the day, usually from 1:30 PM until 2:00 PM. If you were to see their ad in The New York Times, you would see a lion roaming a beach that goes on for miles. The harsh reality is much different. Buyer beware.
