Australian Center for the Moving Image or ACMI is one for the free museums located at the Federation Square, it is also unique as a very rare kind of museum devoted to moving images. There was a virtual reality exhibit which we were able to try when we visited and it was really awesome, but it is recommended for kids ten years and older. Their museum shop has a nice and diverse collections of films and related memorabilia.
