I ordered 8 shirts and 1 3-piece suit from Black Lapel over the course of a year. Initially, I was very impressed by the entire operation - the people, the service the quality of product. However, unfortunately there was no consistency with the shirts - 3 of them didn't fit. When I raised this to Concierge, they asked me to send photos of me wearing the shirts, which I duly did. On review of the photos with their 'expert tailors', they acknowledged that they 'may not have fully accounted for your shoulder angle'. They said they would make the adjustments and pay extra attention to my measurements going forward. As for the 3 shirts which didn't fit me, Black Lapel suggested I go to a local tailor to have the collars adjusted and offered me 40% off my next short as a small token of appreciation. The onus and loss was on me. With a fail rate of 3 in 8 shirts and such a poor response from Customer Service, I have no intention of using them again. That said, they may have made improvements in their business since this occurred last year.
