I called a few weeks ago about an intruder entering our house while we were home in Walnut Creek. It took a Sheriff coming from Alamo 12-15 minutes to get to our house and of course the intruder was gone by then. He also stole mail from neighbors mailboxes. When the Sheriff did call he chatted with me for a long time about how understaffed they are and they are all working overtime. He said even if they caught the intruder he would not be arrested just talked to. Great to know I'm being protected, NOT! They said they would continue looking and would call me in the morning. That did not happen.
