Went for Fourth of July weekend and had a great experience. Chickenhead was our rafting instructor for the lower new river (full day trip) and he was definitely the x factor. Would highly suggest rafting with him. Genuine guy, with great stories and knowledge of the river. I called around to all the various places and it seems you get the most bang for your buck with Ace. Incredibly clean bathrooms and even heated showers after a long day of rafting. They provided a hearty lunch halfway through the trip which was both delicious and accommodating for the vegetarians. Definitely returning with friends!
