TJUH is a whole lot better that the hospitals here...

TJUH is a whole lot better that the hospitals here in Southern New Jersey. In fact I wish TJUH would buy all of these hospitals down here. All of the staff have been extremely helpful, and have treated me with a great bedside manner during the process of my Bariatric Surgery. They have been great with communicating with me through the Follow My Health site/app, and as well on the phone. I am scheduled to have my surgery on the 26th of January 2016. The only flaws that I have ran into during the beginning process is a certain doctor in the Jefferson Sleep Disorder Center (Dr. Ritu Grewal) she was showing off in front of 3 med students whom were observing. I was trying to be honest with her about a problem I was having, and her actions nearly cost me my driving privileges in New Jersey. She reported her concern about me and I had to be medically examined in order to prove I am capable of operating a motor vehicle. Then to top it off she dictated a certified letter to my employer human resources department, and she cost me my job. She made it appear I was unhealthy to work. I do not qualify for aide of SSI/SSD.

The second encounter I expirinced was today when I went for my scheduled Pre-Admission Testing. For some reason there is miscommunication between staff and use of the computer scheduling program. I wasn't in the system for today and they had me scheduled with a doctor I never met and surgery next week on the 12th of January. I had to provide proof that I was supposed to be there for an appointment and for the date of my surgery by the scheduler. The scheduler never fixed the information in the scheduling program. This appears to be a common flaw at TJUH. Now I am a spouse of a TJUH employee. They know I'm an employee's spouse, but they don't care no favoritism at TJUH.

I will write again after my Bariatric Surgery in a few weeks to let you know how that goes.
