My wife and I seldom go up north for a weekend away by the beach, but last weekend we just couldn't resist the urge... Having been a long drive from Sydney, we stopped by the approaching RSL (West Gosford) for dinner and a quick drink, and we unimpressed to say the least.

The atmosphere, for one, was horrific. We immediately felt out of place and unwelcome from the moment we walked in. Poor and unprofessional mannerisms/customer service as displayed by staff made us feel like we were in the wrong end of town. We counted 4 or 5 times we heard a staff member swear, which we believed to be totally inappropriate for a workplace setting. Inexperienced staff had delivered food we had waited 45 minutes for, and my wife had received a Gin and Tonic with no lemon in it from the bar.

We left at around 10.15 walked by a fight in the car park to make it even worse. Have not attemped to contact the club as we will never be returning to this establishment. Not recommended, 1 star.
