We have purchased everything for a holiday home from Smulders, for over 1100 euros in sheets, comforters and duvet cover sets. The shipments indeed arrived quickly, but after that we were less satisfied with Smulders.
Two different sets of the Kayori brand were broken after a short rinse before the first use, so both have never been used on a bed. The hem of a pillowcase was too tight and had come loose and started to fray and another set did the same with the duvet cover.
Now something can always go wrong, but what is really bad is that Smulders does not respond to my complaint, despite the high amount I spent with them. I have reported the two broken comforter sets and asked them for a solution, but after two weeks I have not even received a confirmation of receipt for my email.
I think it is very unfortunate that this company apparently does not think it is necessary to give a reaction to customers with defective goods. I am considering sending everything back, but I am afraid that I will then no longer have bed linen and no money.
UPDATE:
Smulders has contacted me in the meantime and explained that my email has been lost and that I can send everything back, even if it has already been washed (then you usually only notice these shortcomings). I can either get my money back or choose duvet cover sets from another brand. I have therefore adjusted my rating.
