We drove a long way to visit this site and we were very glad we did. We paid a little extra for the kids to be able to "dig" for mammoth bones like the professionals. That was a lot of fun for them and I recommend it for children 12 and under. The mammoth site itself was surprisingly large. The film that leads up to seeing the actual site was very helpful. The fact that these are all actual bones and not fossils is pretty rare and amazing. The staff is mixed with very knowledgeable college interns and full time employees. The entire facility is well maintained and clean. Expect to spend a few hours and less than $75 for family of four.
